Production function ’means the minimum input of material into maxim out output of the product.

The term “Production” is defined as ‘the step-by-step conversion of one form of material into another form through diffrent  mechanical & chemical process to create or enhance the utility of the product to the user’. Thus production is a value addition process. So at the every stage of processing, there will be value be in addition.

 The production function starts with the 5 main reesourcers oi.e, men power, material, machines, information & most important thing is capital to invest for the production. After that the product transformation  process start in it the product is designed, plan, and controlling and maintenance is required. If the operation management is controlled thes things , so the good product or service is provided to the customers.
